Step 6: Complete the HIPAA Quiz
How to Access the HIPAA Quiz
- From the main menu, click Supervision Assist to go to your user Dashboard, if you are not already there.
- Once logged into your dashboard, if your HIPAA Quiz has not been completed, you will be presented with the alert message: “Action Required: You must complete HIPAA training to upload client files.”
- To proceed, select the "Complete HIPAA Course" link
- Read the course information, and download the course material.
- Select Take Exam. You must complete the exam with a 75%.
- Your Dashboard will now have a HIPAA training complete stamp of approval. This will be displayed to your Supervisors.
HIPAA Quiz Information
Supervision Assist (SA) is used in your practicum and internship with real clients who are legally protected by FERPA and HIPAA rules and regulations. As you work in SA, you may encounter scenarios where Electronic Protected Health Information (ePHI) must be entered or uploaded. Although SA is a highly secure system, it is recommended that you minimize your instances of ePHI. For your own peace of mind as well as your clients', your university's, and ours at SA, we have built this document to outline our applications HIPAA security, inform you of areas in SA that can contain ePHI and recommend important best practices.
