About Zoom Breakout Rooms
Breakout Rooms allow hosts to split a Zoom meeting into a maximum of 50 separate live sessions. The live session's host can choose to divide the participants into these separate sessions automatically or manually, and can switch between sessions at any time.
- Up to 50 breakout rooms can be created
- A maximum of 200 participants is allowed in a breakout room (requires Large Meeting 200 add-on)
- Breakout room participants have full audio, video, and screen-sharing capabilities
Note: Starting in November 4, 2017, Zoom features will use Tiered Settings. Previously-configured settings for Breakout Rooms will continue to work in the same way. Changes made by an administrator could affect meetings and webinars that use this setting.
