MFA/2FA Multi-factor Authentication Help
Introduction
Two-factor authentication is a great way to secure online accounts, as it goes above and beyond the standard username and password. If an online attacker knows or can work out your password, 2FA can stop any further access to it.
Why am I seeing this?
If you are being prompted to add a phone number or authentication app to your account, it is because your University/Organization requires MFA (Multi-factor Authentication). There are two levels of security
- Allow Authentication App or Text Message codes. (secure)
- Require Authentication App (most secure)
